Kings Comeback falls Short; Langley wins 3-2 OT

Associate Head Coach, Chad Van Diemen, hit the nail on the head in the post-game show. The Kings failed to convert on their chances.

Powell River peppered Langley netminder, Wyatt Galley, with 48 shots and 7 power-plays but were unable to score when it mattered most.  The Kings were presented with  5 on 3 with less then five minutes left, including  a 5 on 4 with just over a minute left, but simple couldn't convert.

In the extra session, Kody Dhaliwal came down on left wing and his centering pass deflected of  a King and past Mike Garteig on the short side.

GAME OVER.

Two things stand out for me in this game:
1. One, is obivious, the amount of opportunities the Kings had and failed to score on. However, as Chad Van Diemen, stated, this are teachable and correctable. Fans should be encouraged at their team creating their own opportunities. When a team starts to fail to create chances, that's when you should be worried.

2. The second, is how Langley was able to get wide open on numerous occasions inside the Kings zone. Van Diemen touched on that, simply put, their team needed to adjust to the speed and skill they were facing. It was the first time this team has saw that skill come at them.

Its time to forget and regroup for tomorrow.

3 Stars
1. Wyatt Galley- 46 saves
2. Mike Garteig-25 saves
3. Kody Dhaliwal- GWG
