A great day for Chad Nidderry and the Powell River Kings. The 20 year-old has committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes for next season.

This is an example of an player being rewarded for his hard work and dedication to the game and the organization. Nidderry is in his fourth year with the Powell River Kings and leading the team in scoring. Also to those young hockey players, not in Jr A and playing in Jr B, let this serve as a notice. Nidderry wasn't a sure thing Jr A prospect. He did his time in the KIJHL with the Grandforks Boarder Bruins. Hopefully this can be used as a source of motivation.
