Kings take down Warriors, 3-1

It wasn't pretty, however the Kings finished the weekend with a workmen like effort against Westside. The general consensus you can draw from the game is it lacked emotion-from both sides. I saw a team, in Powell River, just put in hard work for sixty minutes to pull out the two points.

Chad Nidderry paced the attack, scoring the opening two goals, both in the final seconds of the first and second period. You almost felt when the Kings scored, the game was decided right then and there.

The defense was razor sharp once again, only surrendering 18 shots. The blemish, was a short handed goal, by Grayson Downing in the third. Besides that, the back-end virtually snuffed out any Westside rushes through the course of the hockey games.

Goals:
PR:Chad Niddery (2), Justin DaSilva
WS: Grayson Downing

Shots: 40-18 PR
3 Stars
1. Chad Niddery (2-1-3)
2. Matt Garbowsky
3. Mike Garteig (17/18)

Record: 9-3-1-1 20pts (2nd)

  1. After a wide open and entertaining game against Langley on Friday the game aginst Westside was a smothering affair.Even with 40 shots against Westside played a strong defensive game. The Kings played an even stronger defensive game.It was a frustrating game to watch. For the second game in a row the Kings were caught by a few long passes. And how about Jason Yee!
