Marketing Update

Hello from the Kings’ office! I wanted to connect and keep you posted what’s happening this upcoming weekend (and beyond!) with the Kings!

Game Nights:

Friday night we’ll be having a TURKEY SHOOT. That’s right – a TURKEY SHOOT! What’s more PR than that? Silke’s has graciously donated a huuuuge organic turkey, a gift basket & gift certificate to be won. Silke’s lovely staff will be selling tickets for $1…you keep one half of the ticket, the other half is stuffed into an empty shot gun shell and tossed on the ice! The closest to each of the three prizes WINS! So be sure to buy a ticket (all proceeds go towards the Kings). What a perfect way to kick-off your Thanksgiving Weekend!

Saturday is BC Ferries Night! WIN free travel! Umm, what’s better than that as a Powell River-ite!?

Next week Friday (Oct 15^th) is hosted by Shoppers & they’ll be giving away 200 FREE green reusable bags. Next Saturday (Oct 16^th) will be our ‘Think Pink’ Night with Safeway – wear pink and get ready for a great night full of great giveaways and fundraising for breast cancer research.

Kings in the Community

The Kings will be introduced by Mayor Alsgard to City Council this coming Thursday Oct 7^th. Tune in on Thursday to see them! J

GIANT Road Hockey Game will be on Sunday October 17^th (not this Sunday, NEXT Sunday!) at Grief Point School….1pm ‘ball’ drop! Safeway will be bringing hot cocoa and water, so get ready for a GREAT afternoon!

Our Read Program in conjunction with the Literacy Council & First Insurance officially begins on Monday Oct 25^th. We’ll have a great YouTube video of the program to send out soon! It’s going to be great this year with a new incentive each week for the students with the ‘Reading Hero’ campaign. We’re PUMPED!
