2 Cellphones + 2 overtimes = Kings Win

Wow.

Cohen Adair completed a memorable night, scoring 3:33 into the 2nd overtime session, giving the Powell River Kings, a hard fought and dramatic 4-3 win over Victoria.

Adair took two, yes TWO, minors in the first overtime session, before redeeming himself by banging in a Justin DaSilva rebound  (Que Hollywood ending). 3 -on-3 overtime is wildly entertaining, but must be murder for the men behind the benches. Up and down, back and forth the session went; both goalies standing on their heads. Kudos to Matt Ginn, turning in an memorable performance.

Stats:

Shots: 46-22 Powell River.
Goals
Powell River: Mike Sones, Craig Dalrymple, Dan Schuler and Cohen Adair
Assists: Brendan Forbes, Matt Garbowski, Chad Niddery (3) Justin DaSilva (2)

*The team has sent in a request form for scoring change. Those stats are what they have.

Power-Plays

Yes we had broadcast connections issues. I used my cellphone two and a half periods. Then when my battery died Elise Statham stepped up and lended her phone for third and overtimes.

More tomorrow.
