The Night Before....

The Kings are getting set to host the Cowichan Valley Capitals tomorrow night at the Hap Parker Arena.  These two teams last met on October 9th when the Kings skated to a 4-1 victory. The Capitals, however,  will look much different this time around.

Caps GM Rob Davidson has been busy this past month. Davidson signed two players from the PIJHL in Ryan Panichelli and Stepehen Saretsky. Panichelli, a defensemen recordered13 points in 32 games last season with the Delta Ice Hawks. Saretsky is a  forward from the North Delta Devils where he racked up 40 points in 46 games.

This week, Davidson signed former Moose Jaw Warrior Goaltender and Victoria Native Brandon Glover. Glover was a casualty of a numbers crunch in the Jaw. Last season in 30 games Glover posted 9 wins 8 losses and 6 ties. The acquisition looks to give the Capitals a true number one between the pipes.

Davidson also shipped the rights of goaltender Scott Hellyer to the Maritimes for forward Ashton Bernard. Bernard has spent the past three seasons in the QMJHL, most recently with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. The Nova Scotian is known for using his hands more then just gripping a hockey stick.

The evidence is here

Shifting gears, the Kings are offering one lucky fan the ultimate Canucks Getaway Weekend. You can read the following details by following the link. The only way you can win is if you show up for Friday's game!
