GARBOWSKY NAMED BCHL POW

Kings forward Matt Garbowsky has been recognized for his strong week. Garbowsky, who had four goals in two games over the weekend, has been tabbed as the BCHL Player of the Week.

From the BCHL website:

British Columbia Hockey League Player of the week for the week ending January 30, the league announced Monday.
Garbowsky busted out for two goals and three assists including the overtime winner in a 7-6 thriller over Cowichan Valley and was then named first star for his two-goal, one-assist night in a 7-1 win over Victoria. He totalled 10 points in three games for the week, all wins for the first-place Kings
The 20-year-old St. George, Ontario native now leads the BCHL in goals with 38 and is tied for the Kings' team lead with 68 points on the season.
Honourable mentions this week go to Prince George Spruce Kings defenceman Ben Woodley (three games, two goals, five assists, one 2nd Star), Salmon Arm forward Jarryd Ten Vaanholt (four games, four goals, four assists, one 2nd Star) and Salmon Arm forward Mike Hammond (four games, two goals, seven assists, one 1st Star, one 2nd Star, one 3rd star).
